Our parts department started in 1982 with the manufacture of a small batch of magnesium Elan 26R racing wheels. These were needed because the original wheels started to fail after 18 years use on my own 26R. Then as I started to need parts, I had to make everything because there was nothing available from the factory. We adopted a long term view and all the patterns and jigs were made to the best possible standard and we invested in tooling and C.N.C |

to ensure accurate machining. The arrival of the fax machines started
numerous enquiries from all over the world and during the mid 1980's
we worked flat out making tooling, patterns,moulds and jigs to manufacture
every single racing and performance Elan component. The work load and
mail order became too much for Jan my wife and myself so in 1998 Stuart
Jalland joined the company bringing 30 years experience of parts sales
from his position as parts sales manager of the local Ford distributor.
His knowledge of Ford parts particularly gearbox and differential has
proven invaluable.
