Tony Thompson Series 1 26-R-20
Supplied new to Team Surbiton Motors for the owner Barry Wood to drive. They took delivery of two cars for the 1964 season. The second car was driven by Londons fastest black cab driver, Les Arnold. Team Surbiton Motors were the purveyors of the Shapecraft fastback conversion, beautifully crafted in aluminium then riveted and bonded to the body-shell.
The car was internationally raced in 1964 and was the subject of a John Blunsden road test in Motor Racing magazine which is sadly no longer published.
The car currently resides in Belgium and is raced regularly by the current owner in Patric Peter organised events, still with Tony Thompsons colour scheme and markings, which we are very flattered and privileged by.
